The Cosmopolite is my personal sub-brand where I have collected stories and travel guides from my adventures around the world. Nearly a decade in the making, The Cosmopolite represents the curious and sophisticated way I aim to see the world. Deviating from a classic travel blog or “influencer” approach, I look for the interesting stories in the every day. Whether it’s interviewing Senegalese fashion designers about the evolution of style in Dakar or getting charged at by a silverback gorilla while trekking in Uganda, I hope my tales inspire other women to solo travel and have their own experiences far from home.
While the idea had been percolating for many years, it wasn’t until an unexpected job loss gave me the time and space to start documenting my wild and crazy solo adventures. Working with a web developer and designer, I was able to bring my vision to life and execute what had been in my head for so many years. I am adding stories on a regular basis and started to include travel guides for my more off-the-beaten-path surfing adventures.
It’s a work in progress and something that continues to be a representation of my passion for adventure and dedication to understanding local cultures wherever I go.
